About me

Hi there.

I’m Andre Specht, a Post-Secondary Instructor and Web Developer based in Winnipeg, Canada.

With over 20 years of teaching experience under my belt, I have dedicated the past 5 years to empowering domestic and international students to create amazing things with a computer.

As both an instructor and developer, I’ve discovered a perfect synergy between my passions. Teaching allows me to share my knowledge and expertise with aspiring developers, while my work as a web developer provides real-world insights that enrich my teaching. By merging these roles, I offer students a comprehensive learning experience that helps them succeed in an ever-evolving field.

My work

In my role as a Post-Secondary Instructor at the Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology, I’ve been instrumental in structuring and delivering a comprehensive curriculum for the Software Developer program. Currently, I teach a range of courses including:

Previously, as a Full Stack Developer at Callia, I contributed to the development of the company’s website and implemented an automation system for flagging errors in orders.
